About this Moody Hoh Rainforest Elopement

N & J travelled all the way from the East Coast for their elopement here in Olympic National Park. N fell in love with the Hoh Rainforest after her love for the moody, PNW vibes she saw during the Twilight movies. She knew that when she wanted to get married that she wanted all of the Washington, dark and moody photos for her elopement in the Hoh Rainforest and along the coast. The morning of their elopement was on and off rain but the sun thankfully came out as they walked along the rainforest. N was not afraid to get her dress dirty and I think it turned out awesome! We then drove over to one of my favorite Washington coast beaches where the tide was low and they played around in the tide pools. They were ecstatic when the fog rolled in and we pulled out some lanterns and candles to really capture those moody Twilight vibes. I had an incredible time with this couple and am so thankful for their trust!

Kind Words From This Couple

Doug is wonderful to work with and he has patience no matter the circumstance. From the moment we met him in person, in a robe and hiking boots at the Hot Rainforest, he had a changing tent in hand and was immediately ready for our elopement session.
He was highly proactive with his timing, hiking the trail before we arrived, to scope out the best spots for pictures and to see how muddy things have gotten after the rain. Throughout the day, it was raining quite a bit but this did not worry him at all, which eased our worries. There was much stress and a culture shock coming from the Jersey, as the weather said it was supposed to be sunny the entire week we were there, but it turned around and was cold, raining and hazy all week. Doug worked around the weather and when we hiked down to Second Beach for the other half of our session, he very quickly came up with various photo ideas after we had to trash our sunset plans.
