About Rattlesnake Lake Weddings

Rattlesnake lake is an absolutely stunning lake just 30 minutes east of Seattle, close to North Bend in the Snoqualmie area. This area features a stunning lake, and is close to the Rattlesnake Ledge trail. Imagine starting out with your ceremony by the lake and then lacing up your hiking shoes and getting to the top of Rattlesnake ledge for a sunset elopement photoshoot? How amazing is that?!

Why You Should Have A Rattlesnake Lake Wedding

Rattlesnake lake is a perfect place to have a wedding or elopement in for several reasons. First, this area is close to many major cities. This would allow your guests to fly into town and be able to join for all activities. There are many cute lodging options around North Bend or in Snoqualmie, so if you’re looking for a romantic cabin in the woods, then you’ll surely find that here!

Second, this place is highly accessible. If you need you want an ADA accessible Washington elopement location, consider Rattlesnake lake. Bonus, if you’re looking to invite your dogs to your wedding, they too are invited! Unlike the National Parks, dogs are allowed at Rattlesnake lake.

And third, it is absolutely gorgeous! If you are looking for stunning mountain views, a fun and easy (yet totally optional) hike, and not have to drive for hours outside of Seattle, then consider having a Rattlesnake lake wedding!

Best Time to Get Married at Rattlesnake Lake

The best time to get married at Rattlesnake lake is: any time! The beautiful thing about this area is that it is not high in elevation, making this area open year-round. So if you’re looking to have a wedding in the spring, summer, fall, or winter, then this place is for you! In the summer, particularly towards the end of July and early August, the water in the lake may be a bit low, exposing some logs. Don’t worry, it will still be just as beautiful! Just beware that you may get some rain between October to March, but who doesn’t love a rainy wedding?

Rattlesnake Lake Wedding Permits

Who likes FREE stuff? Me, that’s for sure. Rattlesnake lake is the gift that keeps on giving. Because this area is completely free, no permits, even parking permits are required. What is the catch? Well, for one, the crowds. Consider having a weekday elopement and eloping during sunrise or sunset. You’ll get stunning photos and have one of the most iconic locations in Washington to yourselves. Another catch is that your group size must be smaller than 30 guests. Seems doable enough, it’s why you’re considering a Rattlesnake lake wedding or elopement after all!

Where to Stay for Your Rattlesnake Lake Wedding

The Snoqualmie area has many places to stay for your intimate wedding or elopement. As mentioned earlier, if you’re looking for a secluded cabin, a treehouse lodging experience, or want to stay near the city, there are many places to stay. I always recommend my couples to stay within an hour’s drive from the main ceremony location. If you want to learn some of my lodging recommendations around the area, reach out!
