Winter Seattle Outdoor Wedding at Discovery Park
About this Seattle Outdoor Wedding
N traveled all the way from California to elope in Seattle as her fiancé was stationed in Washington. Their Seattle adventures together became such an important part of their relationship that it was only suiting to get married in Seattle! Initially they wanted a courthouse wedding, but because of the tight turn around, the judges were unfortunately not available. However this let us bring their courthouse wedding to the outdoors for a beautiful Seattle Outdoor wedding in one of my favorite parks in Seattle. We found a GIANT Rhododendron that created this beautiful wedding ceremony location. I brought many LED candles and set it up around their ceremony spot so they could really get a more moody PNW feel for their wedding! After saying I do and officially tying the knot, we explored the park, played in the mud and captured some beautiful blue hour photos. I had an incredible time with these two for their one-of-a-kind elopement in Seattle!

“My husband and I were looking to elope during our stay in Seattle for new years. Mind you, we got engaged dec 1 and we wanted to get married on dec 30 so we didn’t have much time to plan. I reached out to Doug to photograph our elopement but he was much more than that. Discovery Park is one of Seattle’s most beautiful city parks. Located in the heart of Magnolia, just south of Ballard, this park is one of my all time favorite locations to have an outdoor wedding in Seattle! You can be surrounded by beautiful trees, or explore the wide open fields and cliffs and even go down to the beach, all within a few miles.
